Give me puppies, a super adorable couple, and the beach and I am all set! Carrie and Brad’s beach engagement session at Fort Fisher was filled with lots of smiles, laughter and sun. As always with a photo shoot at the beach, it ended up being a little windy. We stayed closer to the tree line until the wind died down and ventured onto the beach later on. Towards the end of the session, Carrie and Brad brought out their two cute dogs to join them!
Carrie and Brad are high school sweethearts. They started dating their junior year of school in March 2014. That was already nine years ago! Time really has flown for these two! Brad and Carrie actually live in Virginia, but came down to North Carolina for their engagement photos and to visit family. I had photographed Brad’s sister’s wedding two years ago, so I am honored that his family asked me again to be involved as their wedding photographer!
Fort Fisher was the perfect location for their engagement session! Carrie and Brad both love going to the beach and being out on their boat. They especially love to bring their dogs with them wherever they go, so it was fitting that they brought their pups to their session. I love when couples incorporate their furry friends because they are just as much a real member of their family! Carrie and Brad were barefoot for the first part of their shoot and their outfits perfectly complimented the location! Light blues and neutral colors photograph so well!
I can’t wait to shoot their wedding this fall at The Barn at Mattaponi Springs in Virginia! They will have such a fun celebration with all of their friends and family! I absolutely love photographing couples at the beach when they bring their pups! If this kind of engagement session sounds like you, then let’s schedule a date to show off your new ring!
