I still can’t get over what an amazing celebration this was and that I got to photograph this beautiful day! Liz and Harrison’s destination wedding at Ocean Isle on the beach was the perfect location to say I do! From the large house they rented for all of their closest friends, exchanging vows at a local chapel, and special bridal details, this wedding in Ocean Isle was filled with some much love.
To accommodate everyone who attended, Liz and Harrison rented a large house for their closes friends. It was so big that it will fit forty-eight people! If I could have a re-do of my own wedding, this house is definitely the one I would choose! This particular house was made for weddings like this. There was a large area underneath for the reception, including a pool and a bar. Liz and Harrison’s families stayed at another house just down the road.
Liz included some very special items in her bridal details. She wore her grandmother’s necklace, and the prayer book is a family heirloom. Liz had a special first look with her bridesmaids and there were a lot of shared happy tears. For the ceremony, Harrison and Liz exchanged vows at the Ocean Isle Chapel. The chapel even put their names on the marquee to extend their congratulations to the happy couple! Liz and Harrison didn’t opt for a first look, so Harrison’s reaction when she walked down the aisle was so sweet! All the wedding guests got a little emotional as well during the ceremony. Before we left the chapel, we made sure to take family photos.
After everyone arrived back at the house, we took some more photos by the water of the bridal party. Then it was time for the reception festivities to begin! The coastal decor for their wedding was so pretty! The intricate detail of the seashells cascading down the side of their white wedding cake was amazing! Liz and Harrison even had cute beach colored towels as wedding favors for all their guests.
Their first dance was so sweet, and I loved capturing the guests’ reaction. Later on in the evening as the sun went down, Liz and Harrison changed clothes to something more casual. They had guests hold up light up wands as they walked down the middle, and then they jumped into the pool! Other wedding guests followed them as well. What a great way to end such a special celebration!
Congratulations Liz and Harrison! Thank you for allowing me to capture your wedding day!
