The fall weather was perfect for Hannah and Jake’s wedding at the Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island! The area is surrounded by boats on the water as well as a beautiful coastline, making this location an idyllic spot to get married and celebrate with all of your family and friends!

This was my first official wedding after having a baby. Since this event was over four hours away from where I live, I brought my husband and the baby and we all headed to Hilton Head to celebrate Hannah and Jake for their destination wedding. Sea Pines Resort is such a lovely and luxurious place to say, “I do!” This resort boasts several breathtaking places for your ceremony and reception, whether you decide to get married inside or outside. There are plenty of options for staying on the property including renting an entire home or villa or staying at the Inn. The property is large it’s like staying in a little town on the water.

I started the day with photographing the bride and groom details while Hannah and her bridesmaids got ready with hair and makeup. Hannah had such a beautiful bouquet with different shades of white and ivory. I made sure to grab extra blooms to add some rich color to her detail shots. I loved having her wedding hanging in the window! While the girls were getting ready, the groomsmen met up at the bar for some drinks before the ceremony.

Hannah and her mom are so sweet! I had fun with them while taking portraits of everyone getting ready. Hannah had several first looks for her wedding! She did a first look with her bridesmaids after she was completely dressed for the day. She then planned one with her brother and her dad. They were both so excited to see her and it was a really cute moment. Hannah and her dad also shared a quick drink from his flask. We then went into a first look with Hannah and Jake on the walkway near one of the rental villas. They were so happy to see each other! We also took some portraits by the water with the famous light house while we waited for the bridal party to join us.

The bridal party all wore one shoulder sage/emerald green dresses. These paried with the groomsmen’s tan suits were a pretty combination for a summer wedding. Hannah and Jake’s ceremony was right on the water at the 18th golf hole. This wedding spot is considered one of the most beautiful settings in the Lowcountry. After the ceremony, the couple had a beautiful champagne wall for the guests to enjoy as they walked to cocktail hour.

The string quartet that played during the ceremony continued here as guests sipped on drinks and tasted appetizers. One of Hannah’s favorite things were was the oysters! She and Jake had a server shucking oysters on the half shell complete with horseradish, cocktail sauce, and lemon. Guests ate them right from the shell! Towards the end of cocktail hour, I stole the couple away for a few sunset portraits on the golf course.

Jake and Hannah had a live band during the reception, and they kept the dance floor packed with all the guests! They had tons of energy and brought so much fun to keep the party going!

I was honored to capture this sweet couple’s fall wedding at the Sea Pines Resort in Hilton Head! I can’t wait to come back again. My calendar is getting busy, so if you’re planning a wedding, reach out to me soon we can talk details!
