Stephanie & Isaac
Stephanie and Isaac had a beautiful summer wedding at The River Room in downtown Wilmington. They had such pretty decorations at their ceremony and reception, and they had a sweet first look on the cobblestone near the venue. We knocked out bridal party pictures before the ceremony and also some bride and groom portraits. They had their ceremony overlooking the Cape Fear River, with a gorgeous sunset overlooking the river.
Stephanie and Isaac are an adventurous couple, as they love to kayak and go to the beach. I had just moved to Wilmington when we shot their engagement session. I learned so much about the area after shooting their session that they showed me awesome places to see the sunrise and sunset! It was so awesome to learn all about Wilmington!
Wilmington is known for some amazing early history, especially within the downtown area. The building hosting The River Room first began its journey when it was built in 1899 as the JW Brooks Building. The building was first used as a fish market. Fisherman would sell the fresh fresh right into wagons on Water Street. When it was renovated in 1920, it was converted into a wholesale grocery. After further renovations in the late 90’s, The River Room started throwing parties and events in October of 2009.
This wedding day was perfect! Stephanie and the girls got ready at a cute AirBnB, and Isaac and the guys got ready at their house. Her dress was sparkly and so beautiful!! We headed to downtown Wilmington to do their first look on the cobblestone as well as the bridal party pictures. I loved all the vendors for this wedding! Julia’s did an amazing job on all of the flowers! I loved the sweet touches of coastal decor on the tables for the reception.
