Liz and Tristan
Liz and Tristan’s destination wedding at Carolina Beach was such a intimate beautiful day filled with lots of love and happy tears! After their beach ceremony, they celebrated with a reception at the River Room in downtown Wilmington with family and friends!
They both met in Wisconsin at a charity football game called “Blondes vs. Brunettes”. Tristan was the coach for their team. Liz and Tristan live in Denver, Colorado so this was a small destination wedding with close family and a few friends. For their wedding, they rented a large beach house so they could just have the ceremony right out on the beach. Since this was a brunch wedding, Liz and the girls started their hair and makeup at 5 am!
Liz and Tristan had their first look before the ceremony on the walkway leading to the beach. I just absolutely love first looks at weddings! It’s such a special time for just the couple when they can have a few quiet moments together before the ceremony. Liz and Tristan’s first look so sweet, with Tristan admiring how Liz looked when he turned around. Their ceremony was accompanied by a cello and violin duo for the music. The sky blue bridesmaid dresses perfectly complimented the blue, pink and peach colors in all of the bouquets. It was such a beautiful combination for a beach wedding!
After the ceremony, we took some photos on the beach of family, bridal party and then couples portraits. We then headed to downtown Wilmington for more couples portraits and the reception later for party time! One special tradition for Liz and Tristan is that they always hide a little rubber duck for each other to find. Liz gave me the duck to place around the wedding day to add to the gallery for a surprise! If you look carefully in some of the photos, you will see the little duck make its appearance.
Liz and Tristan finished their wedding day with a sparkler exit outside on the street with their wedding guests! Congratulations Liz and Tristan!
