Engagement season is here! There are some important things to keep in mind when you are booking your photographer! Your wedding photographer is the most important vendor you will have on your special day! The cake may taste delicious and you may book the best DJ in your area. However, no one will remember what decor you had on the tables, or the food you served but they will always be able to look back on your photos. Here’s what to know before booking your wedding photographer!
It’s really important that you connect with your photographer. You will be spending your whole wedding day with he or she, so you want to make sure it’s someone you love to be around! Choose someone who is going to be your biggest supporter and cheerleader. Being comfortable in front of the camera and your wedding photographer goes such a long way to having a smooth wedding day.
Before booking your wedding photographer, ask to see anywhere from two to four full wedding galleries! This will give you a good idea about what kind of photographer he or she is and how he or she shoots and poses during the day. You can also tell if this photographer can shoot in both natural light and using a flash for indoor activities.
Your engagement session is SO important! Make sure to schedule an engagement session with your wedding photographer – whether you already had pictures by another photographer or a friend. All of my wedding packages come with a complimentary engagement session. It’s the perfect time to get to know each other, practice being in front of the camera, and learn how I shoot. You will learn helpful tips and tricks along the way, so when your wedding day, comes you are a pro at being confident in front of the camera!
Now that you have learned some helpful tips, you won’t have any worries on what to know before booking your wedding photographer! I would love to be your wedding photographer! To see if I have your date available, click on my contact page so we can start planning!
