Taylor and Brady had such a fun and nostalgic engagement session on Oak Island, NC! Their photos were particularly special since this was the location where they met. We made sure to take photos in several locations around the island so they would have lots of variety. This sweet couple was such a delight to work with and the weather was amazing!
Brady and Taylor met eleven years ago when they were both in middle school at a place called Camp Caswell on Oak Island. It was their wish to schedule their engagement session at the location where it all started. They have obviously known each other for a long time but just recently reconnected and started dating a year ago – the rest is history! They knew immediately they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together! Brady popped the question to Taylor at the North Carolina Art Museum Park in Raleigh, NC! Some of her friends were there to see the special moment, and the proposal was also captured by a photographer!
Their engagement session on Oak Island started out at the entrance of Camp Caswell at the fort sign. We all made our way to the beach for the rest of their session. Her white dress paired perfectly with his blue shirt. I love when my couples follow my guide on what to wear. Light colors like this are the best colors to wear, especially when you plan a session by the water. We found a little pocket in the dunes with perfect lighting and the ocean in the background. This ended up being my favorite spot for their photos! As the sun was going down, we captured a few more photos on the boardwalk at the beach near the lighthouse. Taylor and Brady changed into another cute outfit. This is the best time for me to take detail shots of the engagement ring! I absolutely loved Taylor’s design!
