Victoria and Spencer were blessed with a perfect day for their Wrightsville Beach engagement session! From the start of golden hour to the last patches of light at sunset, we walked all over Wrightsville to capture some lovely photos of this sweet couple!

A Chilly Beach Engagement

We started along the road with a beautiful mossy oak tree – the sun coming through the trees is my absolute favorite when shooting sessions here! Victoria’s red dress was such a beautiful outfit choice that really made their photos pop! I like to start my engagement sessions in this area when the sun is still a little bit higher in the sky when the sun can filtered and my couples are backlit.

As the evening progressed, we headed to the beach for sunset photos. It was a little chilly, but Victoria and Spencer braved the wind! I loved the beige and white colors that they chose for their second outfits. The colors that the sky produced at the end of their session at sunset were absolutely beautiful! It may have been cold walking along the water, but you would never know by looking at Victoria and Spencer. Their love for each other kept them warm.

Spencer had actually proposed on Wrightsville Beach at sunrise, which is funny because neither of them are morning people. Victoria didn’t want to get up at sunrise! However, Spencer chose this particular time so they could enjoy the rest of the day with their friends and family after they got engaged! 

Victoria and Spencer have known each other since they were little. They actually grew up in the same neighborhood! Amazingly enough, they attended the same schools, but didn’t actually “meet” until they were both in college, home working for the summer. They coached a swim team together and both had these moments of “Wait, I actually really like you!” As they say, the rest is history! Since they were at different colleges, their relationship was long distance in the beginning.

Their favorite thing to do together is go out to eat. Spencer and Victoria are big foodies, so they love trying new restaurants. When they do eat at home, they love to cook together. Going to coffee shops around town or on vacation, going to the beach, and exercising/working out together are just a few more things they enjoy. 

Their fall wedding at Wrightsville Manor in November is going to be beautiful! Congratulations Victoria and Spencer on your Wrightsville Beach engagement!
