Annalise and Mark’s engagement session at Fort Fisher on Kure Beach was such a delight! This photo shoot was definitely one of my favorites! They posed perfectly with any direction I gave them. People passing by actually asked if they were models! From shooting beneath the twisty trees to the sandy beach, Annalise and Mark radiated such love and joy for each other!
Beautiful Engagement Session on Kure Beach
Fort Fisher and Kure Beach are a part of the North Carolina State Parks. This area boasts fun hiking trails, swimming, fishing, and places for a picnic. This fort played an important role during the Civil War, keeping the port of Wilmington open for blockade runners sending supplies to the Confederacy. Fort Fisher fell in January 1865 after a massive assault from the sea from the Union army. This assault on the fort helped seal the eventual fate of the Confederacy and the war ended just 3 months later on April 14, 1865. You can go visit what little remains of the fort today and learn more about its history.
This sweet couple met their freshman year at North Carolina State University and they have been together for five years! They both immediately knew that they had something special. They still can’t believe they have been a couple for this long! Annalise and Mark absolutely adore their cute pets. They have a dog named Boady and a kitty named Tilly. In addition to taking long walks with their dog, they enjoy competing against each other in phone games, just being lazy, binge watching anything they can find!
Mark proposed to Annalise in a rose garden at the JC Raulston Arboretum on NC State’s campus. This was the perfect place to get engaged since they are both NC State alums and it’s where they met! Their wedding is set to take place this coming January at The Fairview in Raleigh.
