I was so excited to get Brianna and Trey in front of my camera again for this fun couples session at Wrightsville Beach! Brianna and Trey got married in 2021 and I was their wedding photographer. They were up for some more photos so they drove from Raleigh! I recently purchased a new camera and wanted to test it out! What better way to break in my new equipment than with a cute couples session?!
A Popular Beach Destination
This area known as Wrightsville Beach is east of Wilmington and has a multitude of activities for everyone! From fishing, swimming, biking, and surfing, this town is always busy with something to do! Wrightsville Beach was officially incorporated on March 6, 1899. The magnificent Lumina Pavilion, built in 1905, offered 12,500 square feet of games and activities and featured famous Big Bands. Unfortunately, popularity waned and they held their last concert there in 1952. However, every year the town of Wrightsville Beach recreates the Lumina with an event that features live music, food, dancing, and a family-friendly movie on the main lawn. They have a year-round exhibit showcasing the history of the beach. Over the years, families have enjoyed coming every summer to take part in all of the seasonal activities.
Trey and Brianna held their wedding at the MacGregor Downs Country Club in Cary, NC. Even though they got married in December, the weather turned out to be so warm that it was 65 degrees! They had black and emerald green as their wedding colors. Even though they had a first look, Trey still had tears in his eyes as Brianna walked down the aisle! Their photos were so sweet! Brianna and Trey walked hand in hand along the beach while laughing. You would have thought these were their engagement photos! We even had an amazing sunset that night! This couples session at Wrightsville Beach was the perfect way to test out my new camera!
