Jennifer and Foster

I keep gushing every time I look at all the beautiful photos from Jennifer and Foster’s wedding at The Maxwell in Raleigh! I absolutely loved shooting at this venue and they had gorgeous weather for their special day. Jennifer and Foster have three dogs, and they were included in the wedding details! From the beautiful flowers and super fun reception, Jennifer and Foster’s wedding day was such a lovely celebration with family and friends.

The Maxwell wedding venue in Raleigh, NC is relatively new for the area. This picturesque wedding venue only established in 2021, but it’s already gaining attention from wedding couples. There is white brick throughout the venue, which makes it so easy for photographers when shooting indoors. The Maxwell has a nice patio area and lawn for guests to enjoy during cocktail hour. They also have games for guests to play which is so much fun! Jennifer and Foster’s wedding guests played golf, corn hole, and Connect Four on the lawn while sipping on champagne from the glass tower.

This Raleigh wedding venue also has a beautiful bridal suite where Jennifer and her girls got ready. With ceiling to floor windows, the light was amazing! Jennifer chose a really pretty mix for her color palette. The girls wore a variety of rust, light pink and peach for the bridesmaids dresses. The guys wore blue suits with white boutonnieres and blue and peach paisley bow ties. Jennifer had a first look with both her dad and Foster. Jennifer’s dad wasn’t ready to see her and wouldn’t turn around. It was such a sweet moment! There were lots of happy tears shared by both of them! We shot the first look with Foster immediately after, and then transitioned into their couples portraits. I made sure to take some photos of just Foster and Jennifer by themselves. After their portrait time together around the property, we took bridal party photos before the ceremony.

Jennifer and Foster’s ceremony was outdoors up against the white brick wall with the greenery. It was such a pretty spot at the venue! After the ceremony we knocked out family portraits, and Jennifer and Foster got to enjoy cocktail hour with everyone. Jennifer actually made the bouquets herself by purchasing the flowers through a company called Flower Moxie. She did such an amazing job and all of the bouquets were beautiful! The decor for the long reception tables also complimented the bouquets with pretty greenery and floating candles.

Jennifer and Foster’s reception entrance was epic! They drove in on one of those battery powered monster trucks! It was really cool! After Jennifer and Foster has their first dance, they both danced with their dad and mom, respectively. But the sweetest moment came when Foster danced with his grandmother! It was their special way to honor their grandparents. At the reception, Foster and Jennifer had guests sign a photo book using pictures from their engagement session. I absolutely loved this idea! Even though their dogs couldn’t be with them at the wedding, the bridal cake had toppers of their three dogs. They also included a treat bar so guests could take home a doggie bag for their own dogs (mine included!).

Jennifer and Foster had all their guests out on the dance floor all through the reception! To end the night, they had a private last dance outside on the patio under the lights. Their wedding at The Maxwell in Raleigh was such a beautiful celebration. I can’t wait to shoot at this venue again in the future! Congratulations Jennifer and Foster! My calendar is getting booked very quickly for this year! Make sure to email me if you’re looking to get married later this year or next year!
